ART FOR THE COLLECTOR
ETCHINGS
Etchings are formed by the artist drawing onto a prepared plate which is then immersed in acid. Ink is applied to the plate and then wiped off it remains in the grooves and cavities. Under pressure in a press, the ink is transferred to a dampened paper, which also receives the "plate mark" common to all intaglio printse formed by the artist drawing onto a prepared plate which is then immersed in acid. Ink is applied to the plate and then wiped off it remains in the grooves and cavities.
The image size for Big Ben is 2 x 3.5" and comes with a double offwhite mount ready for framing or giving as a present.
