Proden "Plaque Off" is a granulated seaweed that when used daily has been found to reverse the action of plaque, making it non sticky and hence helping to keep bacteria from building up on the teeth and gums.
We tried this product on out little recue poodle before we stocked it, to be honest we were suspicious as to something so easy to use being as effective as claimed.
Our poodle had been treated badly before coming to us, her teeth were stained to the tips and there were substanial tartar deposits, dental tretamnet at the vets wass not an option as age is against her and a general would be risky. So we tried the Plaque Off, about 6 weeks later we noticed the tips of her teeth were gleaming white and over time ( this is not a quick fix) her teeth have got whiter and whiter, now nearly to the top, the large deposit of tartar has disolved away. Her breath would clear a room in seconds but within a few days that started to abate, within a few weeks you could go nose to nose with her without a problem.
We cannot recomend this product highly enough, but you must use it religiously, a small pinch sprinkeld on food once a day, so a 60g pot will last a small dog about a year.
WARNING. This product may not be suitable for animals on thyoid treatment, asit is made from seaweed it contains iodine. Iodine is often used in thyoid treatment so the product may interfere with doseage. In this insatnce consult your vet before using.
Also available for humans in tablet form, but not from us unfortunately.
