Possum Teddy Bears

Our Teddy Bears are hand made in New Zealand by Bear Artists, Donna Renfrew and Mark Barlass in Christchurch on the South Island. Both are committed environmentalists with a strong feeling for the land. They have been crafting possum teddy bears since 1998.

Barlass Renfrew Champagne Possum Fur Bear The Champagne Possum Teddy Bear is the most recent addition to the Barlass Renfrew range. The fur of this bear has been dyed to create the striking champagne hue. In nature, New Zealand Possum colours vary widely from district to district. Possum teddy bears are generally undyed, their colour derived from carefully matched pelts. Faces and other exposed areas are made from shaved leather which often carries idiosyncratic markings unique to each animal. The Barlass-Renfrew Champagne Possum Teddy Bear is 15" (38cm) high.
