The UK sky digital television satellite digiboxes are designed for the UK telephone system. When connected to phone systems abroad, calls fail because the digibox functions as if it were in the UK.

The sky digibox plug and play dialler overcomes this,  it connects the digibox to your phone line. You select a Pay Per View event via your remote control and when the digibox dials into the computer system, the call routes automatically as if it were in the UK, the call connects and authorises your card for the event. Your purchase will be added to your monthly bill. 

The dialler can be used with most modern digiboxes.  If you plan to take your sky digibox from the UK to Europe just attach the dialler and your box will continue to callback as if it were in the UK. You can use the digibox dialler with any analogue telephone line. It will not work with an ISDN line. Most ISDN terminals also have an analogue fax input, if so then connect the digibox dialler like a fax machine or modem.

The diallers work all over the EU including France and in most other countries. They can be used with subsidised as well as unsubsidised digiboxes. We have found that with many models of dialler, reliability with digiboxes is not very good, we have however made extensive testing with this make on our own HD system and it works fine.
