Exclusively for Friends and Volunteers at Watts Gallery, join us for the return of our annual Tea Party in the grounds of Limnerslease (Watts’s home and studio in Compton). This year’s party coincides with the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and echoes an event held by Watts for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
You will be welcomed with a celebratory drink before sitting down to a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and cakes served on beautiful vintage crockery. It is hoped that the actor Timothy West will be joining us as a special guest to give a reading from Watts’s writings.
From 4pm you can explore Limnerslease, meeting our guides in the house, studio and grounds.
