Thomas Crapper established this famous old company in Chelsea in 1861. He gained a fine reputation for quality and service, specialising in the manufacture and supply of the very best bathroom fittings to the gentry, nobility and royalty of the time. In addition he perfected and panted a number of sanitary innovations, some of which are still essential in modern-day plumbing.
Each item has the inscription; 'Hygiene and cleanliness are essential to ensure robust good health and longevity.'
