William Morris (1834-1896) and his firm Morris & Co designed and produced a bewildering array of glass, tiles, textiles and furnishings, making him one of the most influential designers in British history. Complicated leaf motifs on fabrics and particularly wallpapers were a popular theme, and his designs have become synonymous with the Arts and Crafts Movement and remain equally sought after today
